Project Nativity: Keep Christ in Christmas

Faith and Action's Rob Schenck has news to lift the hearts of Christians...

"Something that has never happened before recently took place on Capitol Hill.

While atheists across the country continue to wage war against Christmas, for the first time in history Faith and Action displayed a nativity scene right in front of the U.S. Supreme Court.

Let me say that again, for the first time in American history, the true story of Christmas was not only told, but displayed in front of the U.S. Supreme Court.

This extraordinary moment is part of Project Nativity, a national effort to keep Christ in Christmas all around the nation. The ACLU thought they had duped the American people into believing it is illegal to display a nativity scene on public property — that it can't be done."...

Although local governments may not be able to sponsor a nativity scene, private citizens certainly have the right to place such displays on public land in their local communities.

Our goal is to see people of faith in communities across the nation join together to sponsor a nativity scene on public property—just as we did at the Supreme Court.

Our efforts are having an effect.

Just today, driving through Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, I was blessed to observe a beautiful crèche on full display in a very public setting. (To see the crèche click here)
