President Bush leaves big shoes to fill

Unfortunately, in Barack Hussein Obama, America evidently has a presumed Commander-In-Chief who is more in the Clintonian mode.

"The president’s commitment to, and respect for, our troops and their families as the “Comforter In Chief” stands in stark contrast to Mr. Obama’s example as the “Campaigner In Chief.” You may recall that while campaigning overseas in Berlin, Germany, where Mr. Obama delivered his “citizen of the world” speech, the Obama campaign abruptly canceled a visit to the U.S. military hospital at Landstuhl after he was told he could not use the visit as a campaign photo-op.

I realize Mr. Obama has spent the past two years campaigning against Bush’s policies and on a platform of “hope and change.” But when it comes to showing dedication to our men and women in uniform, I hope Mr. Obama will change his own ways and strive to follow the example of his oft-maligned predecessor."
