ACORN 'Blackjack' Plan Comes Up Bust In Nevada -
Radical Group Charged With Voter Registration Fraud by Nevada Attorney General

ACORN and two of its workers are once again in trouble with 26 counts of Compensation for Registration of Voters.
    • ACORN is also charged with 13 counts of Principle to the Crime of Compensation for Registration of Voters.
    • Throughout 2008, ACORN employed canvassers to register people to vote in Nevada.
ACORN implemented a bonus program called "Blackjack" or "21+" that was based on the total number of voters a person registered.
    • A canvasser who brought in 21 or more completed voter registration forms per shift would be paid a bonus of $5.00.
According to the New York Times, over 91,000 were registered in Clark County, which includes Las Vegas, but only around 21,000 were considered valid.

ACORN is one of the non-profit groups that is signed to assist the government for the 2010 Census.
