Quote of the Day

"Barack Obama's decision yesterday that the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) is unconstitutional amounts to a declaration of war against traditional marriage in America. Liberals in Congress are now planning a legislative assault to repeal DOMA. Rep. Jerold Nadler (D-NY) and Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) have told the Huffington Post that they will introduce legislation in the House and Senate very soon to fully repeal DOMA. My friends, we will defeat them!

Let me be clear about the implications of such action: DOMA did not ban same-sex "marriage" in America. It gave states the right to define marriage for themselves. To date, the people of 31 states have voted to define marriage as the union of one man and one woman. Repealing DOMA would effectively invalidate each of those 31 votes. And it would allow liberal judges to force every state, including yours, to recognize same-sex "marriages" performed in left-wing states like Massachusetts.

Once again, the intolerance of the Left is on full display. Liberals think they know better than thousands of years of recorded history. They think they know better than the teachings of all major faiths. They think common sense and faith amounts to bigotry.

They think they know better than the people of Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia and Wisconsin!

And given that President Obama feels that the law defining marriage as the union of one man and one woman is discriminatory and unconstitutional, I assume that he now supports polygamy too. If we cannot say that marriage is the union of one man and one woman, on what basis can we discriminate against the love of a man and his three wives? Or a woman and her four wives? Is that Obama's idea of "change we can believe in"?"
