Thursday - JATP: We Have Your Back Rally

www.JeffersonTeaParty.org

THIS THURSDAY AT 11:00 a.m.

We Have Your Back
(IF you drastically cut spending and de-fund ObamaCare)
Rally

March 24
11:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Congressman Robert Hurt's District Office
686 Berkmar Circle, Charlottesville
(At the intersection of Berkmar Drive and West Rio Road across from Charlottesville Piano Company)

Do you think the Republican establishment truly grasps the urgency of America's dire fiscal situation? Are you as content as they seem to be with $10 billion in cuts made over the last five weeks, which is equal to 0.07% of the national debt and the equivalent of what the United States (not counting unfunded liabilities) borrows every two and a half days?

While we commended Congressman Hurt for honoring his pledge to vote for the repeal of ObamaCare, he voted last week to pass a Continuing Resolution to prevent a government shutdown, resulting in appropriations of $105 billion for the bureaucracy and infrastructure of government-run health care. No one can slay a beast with one hand while feeding it under the table with the other.

If the Democrats insist on spending us into oblivion, holding the budget process hostage, and forcing a government shutdown, let it be on them alone. Conservatives should STOP aiding and abetting.

No more Continuing Resolutions. No more funding for ObamaCare. It's time to draw a line in the fiscal sand.

Join the Jefferson Area Tea Party as we gather to send Congressman Hurt the message that if he returns to Washington next week to advocate deep spending cuts, to align himself with those fighting for true reform, and to resist the allure of GOP establishment business-as-usual -- WE HAVE HIS BACK. We want him to lead rather than follow, and govern with boldness.

Bring a sign. Bring a friend.

Tell Congressman Hurt to hold the line and do the tough job his constituents sent him to do.

Hold him to his recent promise to vote against any more Continuing Resolutions:

Tell him to support the Government Accountability Office (GAO) report identifying $100 billion in waste:

Most importantly, remind him of our expectations and that we are watching!

Our rally will be short and we want LOTS of patriots there! Please make every effort to attend. If you absolutely cannot join us at 11:00 a.m., you are encouraged to stop by his office sometime during the day and leave a message for him. Let's avoid phone calls and put a steady flow of traffic at his office throughout the day.
