• 69% of China's electricity is generated with coal. China's carbon-dioxide emissions per unit of output are 5 times that of America's. Crippling the U.S. economy for the benefit of the Chinese expansion only worsen the global environment, according to the U.S. Business Industry Council
• 157 Jihad attacks were executed in 18 countries during the month of May, killing 653 and wounding 1,053, according to TheReligionofPeace.com. Muslim terrorists have perpetrated 11,226 deadly terror attacks since 9/11.

• 37 million acres of land throughout the United States are currently under the control of land trusts. According to a new report by the National Center for Public Policy Research all-too-often that acquired land, placed under "conservation easements," goes from the land trust right into the governing hands of the largest landowner in the United States, the federal government.
• 279 million acres under federal management where oil and gas could potentially could be extracted, according to the U.S. Department of Interior's Bureau of Land Management (BLM). More than half of it is totally off-limits to drillers.
• $776 million in additional taxes to finance the cost of divorce are paid annually by Virginians to "antipoverty, criminal justice, and education programs, and through lower levels of taxes paid by individuals who, as adults, earn less because of reduced opportunities as a result of having been more likely to grow up in poverty," according to a study by the Institute for American Values, et al., costing "U.S. taxpayers at least $112 billion each and every year."
• $12 billion a year is spent educating school-aged illegal immigrants in grades K-12, 1.5 million students in American classrooms are in the U.S. illegally
• 85.9 billion barrels of oil lie offshore, according to the Interior Department's Minerals Management Service. All expansion of offshore oil recovery is currently off-limits.
• $256 billion a year is exported to OPEC for oil, mostly to Saudi Arabia, Iran, Venezuela, Nigeria. That's more than one-third of the US trade deficit of $720 billion.
