"A critical Commission vote will be taken on Thursday, June 12, 2008, regarding a proposal to auction unused airwaves to create a national family friendly and free wireless service.
It is vital that the FCC commissioners immediately hear that you strongly support the creation of a porn-free wireless service. Liberal "free speech" activists want to keep the "no charge" aspect of the service, but they are working very hard to kill the requirement for family-friendly filtering. It is critical that the FCC commissioners hear that you don't want this essential, family-friendly obligation stripped out. At FRC, we want both free and porn-free. This service has the potential to be a "game changing" technology because it would bring competitive forces to bear against wireless providers who carry porn.
I am sure you can imagine how good it would be for American families to have a free nationwide service that would protect our families while allowing no-cost internet access. This service would serve as a wonderful "no frills" wireless internet system.
If you believe, as I do, that it is essential to provide our families with this free, family friendly option, please act now and contact the members of the FCC using the link and service we have provided.
