WASHINGTON, D.C.—Congressman Robert Hurt (R-Virginia) released the following statement after Areva announced its Lynchburg expansion which will create new jobs for Virginia's 5th District:
"At a time when many across the 5th District are suffering through double-digit unemployment rates and when our national debt has surpassed $16 trillion, I am pleased to welcome new jobs and economic development to Lynchburg. Areva has long played an important role in job creation in the 5th District and I join in congratulating them on the opening of this facility, which ensures a continued commitment to supporting our 5th District communities."
