South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford

RPV Chairman Jeff Frederick says of
South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford, "Gov. Sanford is a true warrior in the fight to end wasteful government spending, and he is an authentic, real deal conservative."
"When in Congress, he opposed earmarks that even benefited his own district. In 2004, Governor Sanford vetoed 106 budget bills. The legislature overrode 99 of those vetoes, and Sanford reacted by showing up on the floor of the House with two pigs under his arms: one named "Pork" and the other named "Barrell".
Now you know why Gov. Sanford was on McCain’s short list for V.P. This is a man you really want to keep an eye on."
