Support Brit Hume!

Gary Bauer adds some insight into the left's anti-Christian hatred.

Brit Hume’s “Sin”

Brit Hume continues to be verbally pummeled by America’s cultural elites for his recent advice to Tiger Woods. On Fox News Sunday, Hume asserted that Tiger’s golf game would eventually recover, but that if he wanted to overcome the guilt and shame of his repeated infidelity, he wouldn’t find the answer in his Buddhist faith, but rather in the “redemption and forgiveness” of Christianity.

Sophisticated opinion leaders were horrified at Brit’s breach of the governing rule of American discourse. What rule is that? The one that declares that everything and anything is to be tolerated. Men “marrying” men, birth control pills for 13 year-olds, porn, abortion-on-demand, transgender rights, teachers seducing students – the list goes on. But under no circumstances is a public figure to utter the name of Jesus or suggest there is hope for mankind at the foot of the Cross. Such views are to be kept in the closet – the very closet out of which every perversion has been invited to exit.

I say, “Congratulations, Brit!” Ignore the Pigmies nipping at your heels and keep spreading the Good News. You can e-mail Brit your encouragement here.

Keith Olbermann’s Rant

MSNBC’s Keith Olbermann is one of those having a cow over Hume’s pro-Christian comments. Olbermann recently compared Fox News to Islamic extremists for allowing Hume to promote Christianity, and invited Dan Savage – the homosexual extremist who was found guilty of assault in 2000 – on his show to discuss the issue.

Why? Because Savage infiltrated my campaign headquarters in Iowa to spread his saliva on cups and glasses in an effort to sicken the families and the children of those who volunteered for my campaign. Savage is apparently still obsessed with me. On Olbermann’s show, he called Brit Hume and me “lunatics” who have hijacked Christianity.

As the Left melts down this year, and as it witnesses the American public increasingly rejecting its ideology, I fully expect we’ll see more personal smears and hate-filled rhetoric from the “tyrants of tolerance.” I take it as evidence that we have them on the run!
