RNC Message Commemorating Yom Kippur

WASHINGTON - RNC Chairman Reince Priebus and Co-Chair Sharon Day released the following message commemorating Yom Kippur:

"As those of the Jewish faith prepare to mark the most sacred day of the Jewish year, we wish all a blessed, meaningful Yom Kippur," said RNC Chairman Reince Priebus.

"This is a time of repentance and reflection, of atonement, prayer and fasting. All Americans can take time to remember the importance of faith and love in the lives of our families and the life of our nation."

"On this solemn day, we are mindful of all of God's blessings, of our own personal shortcomings, and of the need always to strive to be more compassionate and caring," said RNC Co-Chair Sharon Day.

"We join with our Jewish friends and family in America, in Israel and around the world in praying for a peaceful year ahead. G'mar Chatimah Tovah."
