“..One hundred or so Republican members has signed up to speak on this issue. Apparently the Democrats did not have an equivalent number to speak and rebut us, so they shut it down. The issue is that we should be out to be able to come down and talk about our issues.”
“The Speaker has the obligation to represent all the members of the House, not the Democrat Caucus.”“The environmentalists can’t wish away our dependence on fossil fuels. We have to work towards it.”
President Ronald Reagan said, ‘Mr. Gorbechav, tear down this wall.’“Today we have a very similar situation, where we say, Madam Speaker, turn on these lights and give us a vote.”

Democrats plot to dupe the American public on energy... again
More Pelosi hypocrisy: She told Democrats to tell their constituents they would vote for an energy bill if it comes to the floor and, she would prevent it from coming to the floor. Tell your legislators to sign the discharge petition and put the bill on the floor. Then be a great ambassador for American energy independence and contact Speaker Nancy Pelosi and ask her to come back and give the House a vote on the American Energy Act.
