The Senate fills empty seats by appointment but the House must hold special elections. The Speaker of the House is supposed to represent all the members of the House equally. With Democrat Nancy Pelosi that has been a joke. She appears to be only concerned about the left-wing special interest groups filling her party coffers. She could care less about high prices for energy.
