What Three Townhalls Have Revealed! Members of the Board of Education announced that THEY will select between the WOKE Northam or REFORMED Youngkin History standards proposal based solely on public comment. Who is making public comments and what public comment sources are accepted? 80-95% of public comments made at the three townhalls were made by WOKE special interest groups!  Virginia Education Association and local union members are largely behind the opposition to Younkin's reforms! Virginia Education Association is so radical that only 7.5% of teachers in our largest city of Virginia Beach are members. But wait, that's not all! Governor Youngkin campaigned on education reform and appointed 5 new board of education members giving Virginia State a 5-4 majority providing a clear pathway to achieve reforms. In February, Democrats in the state senate voted to remove one of Youngkin's appointees, Suparna Dutta, leaving the Board of Education in a 50/50 split, and simultaneously announced Townhall meetings would be held on Youngkin's Education History Reform proposal. WOKE BOE Board Members, in cooperation with state Dem's, the Virginia Education Association, and state unions, has RIGGED this system against the parents and real stakeholders.  The Board of Education has created ONLY two ways to submit public comment, serving as a vote for or against Youngkin's curriculum reform. SHOW UP and make a public comment at a townhall or SUBMIT a public comment through the BOE portal. The BOE public comment portal has been scripted, by design, for academics and professional educators; It is NOT a parent and community friendly public comment portal that allows parents and the community to simply support Youngkin's proposal in general, but forces individuals to comment on a specific singular piece of content you support or object to. It is confusing and restrictive ON PURPOSE! Go to the Official Public Comment Form>> These townhall meetings are a public ruse orchestrated by an unelected WOKE collective, to sell the idea that the radical Northam curriculum is largely supported by the parents and people of Virginia.  BUT WE KNOW THE TRUTH! Enough with the charades! It's time to put the decision-making power back into the hands of the people of Virginia! Call on Governor Youngkin and the state legislature to intervene! Elected officials should be the only policy makers! Bring a group of friends to the Townhall. Prepare a statement that takes less than 3 minutes to present. Bring a copy to leave with the Board Members for their records. Register to speak at 6:30pm.

We are in a battle for the hearts and minds of our children and our future! Stop Northam's proposed history standards including:

Lessons on the LGTBQ+ community and social justice. Numerous lessons on racism and discrimination. Recognized holidays like Juneteenth. Lessons on gender equity and equality, climate defense, and renewable energy. It would halt the requirement of teaching some lessons on Christopher Columbus and Benjamin Franklin. It would scrap the requirement of understanding why George Washington is called the "Father of our Country" and why James Madison is called the "Father of the Constitution."

Governor Youngkin's proposal includes:

Kindergarteners will learn patriotism including the Pledge of Allegiance. Grades 1-12 will learn critical thinking skills. Grades 4-12 will learn about the Civil Rights movement in Virginia and students would describe why James Madison is called the "Father of the U.S. Constitution" and why George Washington is called the "Father of our Country" and students would learn about Reconstruction and the Civil War. In 11th grade, students would learn about Christopher Columbus and about the race-based enslavement of Africans and more.
