Quote of the Day

“It’s the message, stupid.” This administration is not representing the core values of the American people. It’s not even close. There is a growing realization that “hope and change” was just a big liberal bait and switch. The voters are justifiably angry at being deceived and learning that the “blank screen” is really an empty suit."

Quote of the Day

"I once knew a farmer who strongly believed that the only way to get a donkey’s undivided attention was to smack it in the ears with a board. Last night, the political Left got hit with a political club, but some of them still aren’t paying attention.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi emerged from an emergency meeting of Hill Democrats to say, “We’re right on course,” a phrase once uttered by the captain of the Titanic. Leftwing MSNBC commentator Chris Matthews asserted that had Massachusetts Democrats run 17-term Congressman Ed Markey for the Senate instead of Coakley, Markey would have won by 10 points. Sure, Chris. The voters really wanted Markey – a career Washington politician who has never voted against a tax hike or bigger government.

All politicians in Washington, D.C., suffer from a certain amount of isolation, but liberal politicians suffer from it to a far greater degree. They are surrounded by a liberal bureaucracy, a liberal Washington, D.C., culture and adoring liberal reporters who overwhelmingly voted for them. When Nancy Pelosi leaves Washington, she flies over your home town and lands in … San Francisco, where there are plenty of people to tell her she needs to move even more to the Left.

A smack in the ears may work on a donkey, but it’s unlikely to work on the political Left. There is only one solution: Send them packing!"

Regarding Brown's Historic Win

Black Conservatives Comment on Brown Victory in Massachusetts

Washington, D.C.: Black conservatives affiliated with the Project 21 leadership network are speaking out about the stunning victory of Republican state senator Scott Brown over Democrat state attorney general Martha Coakley in Massachusetts.

Kevin L. Martin: "Scott Brown's victory in the bluest of traditionally blue states can only be viewed as a complete loss of confidence in the policies of the Obama White House and its allies in Congress. People have tasted the fruits of a government dominated by liberal ideologues and they've not found it to their liking. What remains to be seen is if this repudiation has been heard and understood. Will Obama, Pelosi and Reid see the writing on the wall, or will they continue their heavy-handed attempts to ram through their agenda against the will of the people?"

Horace Cooper: "Yesterday's victory by State Senator Brown is reminiscent of the upset off-year elections of 1994. Then, the Democrats could have seen the results for what they were - a repudiation of big government liberalism - but they refused. As someone who worked on the Hill while these races were happening, you have to wonder if this time they'll get the message before it's too late."

Bob Parks: "As someone who ran - and lost - in Massachusetts, it's great to see a conservative win there. While Massachusetts Republicans and independents can enjoy their well-earned opportunity to gloat, they can also revel in the fact they did the impossible in an impossible state. And let's hope leaders in Washington realize that the people responded to a conservative message - not one of moderation."

Ellis Washington: "In Massachusetts, the site of the first tea party in 1773 and the renewed tax revolts of 2009, citizen defiance may have saved our republic. The stakes could not have been higher for the Obama Administration and congressional liberals in this special election. This may be the day in which it is guaranteed that Barack Obama will be a one-term president. Scott Brown's election will help America take a giant step toward renewed freedom and liberty. It bodes well for renewing American exceptionalism, market capitalism and the protection of personal property and sacred inalienable rights."

Project 21, established in 1992, is sponsored by the National Center for Public Policy Research (http://www.nationalcenter.org).

Hooray for Scott Brown!

Statement from former Governor George Allen

Mt. Vernon, Va. – Former Governor and U.S. Senator George Allen issued the following statement today, Congratulating Scott Brown and calling on Washington Democrats to “start over” on health care reform.

“Susan and I congratulate Scott Brown for his impressive, inspiring victory and for running an honest, ideas-based campaign.

“I’m sure we can all find it wonderfully ironic that one of the Tea Parties’ greatest victories to date came in Massachusetts, which is where this movement derived its name and philosophy. Scott Brown’s historic election is getting the attention of Washington officials who need to listen to the American people. I think we will be watching with great interest in the days and weeks ahead to see how some in Washington will run for cover trying to hide their role in the massively expensive government-run health care experiment, while others may defiantly push forward to pass it in the face of clear opposition from Americans all across the country.

“I call on Democrats to join their Republican colleagues to start over and put forth common sense health care reforms. Options such as Health Savings Accounts could benefit all Americans and make health insurance more affordable, personalized and portable rather than enacting more national debt, higher taxes dictates and unfunded mandates from Washington.

“I also hope that Democrats avoid any gamesmanship while seating Scott Brown. As he pointed out during his campaign, this is the people’s seat and they spoke loud and clear last night.”

Quote of the Day

"Think back for a moment to the prevailing wisdom in the days following the November 2008 election. Liberal elites and the media were gloating. The most leftwing candidate in history had just been elected president, and Democrats had secured super majorities in Congress. “The GOP,” they crowed, “is dead!” “Republicans can’t compete in New England.” “It’s a washed-up, white male party that will never hold national office again.”

Other “wise men” counseled the GOP to move beyond Reagan, to abandon conservatism and to evolve in the age of Obama. Liberal elites, who did not even try to contain their glee at Obama’s election, were offering the GOP advice on what to do to get along in their new world. Conservatives were repeatedly encouraged to reconsider our most cherished values. The Tea Party activists were mercilessly mocked by contemptuous liberals as “ignorant” and worse. What a difference a year makes!

My point is simply this: Ignore the liberal elites! Our values aren’t the problem, and we don’t need to take advice from folks who aren’t our friends."

Tell Your VA State Senator to OPPOSE SB595

The National Rifle Association Institute for Legislative Action needs you to take action --

Another Anti-Gun Bill Introduced in Virginia

Call Your State Senator Today to Oppose SB 595!

Even after Virginia voters ousted a number of anti-gun legislators from the General Assembly this past November for their anti-Second Amendment positions and votes, Senator L. Louise Lucas (D-18) has decided to go against the will of the voters and introduce Senate Bill 595. SB 595 would require that any private sale at a gun show go through a background check.

The sole intention of SB595 is to restrict our Second Amendment rights by seeking to ban the private transfer of firearms at gun shows and then towards the ultimate goal of banning all private transfers, even those between family and friends.

Please contact your State Senator and respectfully request that he or she OPPOSE SB595.

Video: Obama's Corrupt Health Care Deal with Unions

The National Right to Work Foundation has the inside story of Obama's Union Corruption.

Fox News Video: Big Labor's Obamacare Giveaways Exposed on Glenn Beck

Earlier this week, National Right to Work president Mark Mix appeared on Glenn Beck’s Fox News show to explain how Big Labor is working to ensure unionized firms are exempted from the new taxes on other health insurance plans.

Mix and Beck also discuss how the union bosses are exploiting the very workers they claim to represent and how eager they are to sell out workers if it means more union special privileges from their pals in the Obama Administration.

Quote of the Day

"How vicious will the Left get in order to hold on to power? Already they are trying to tar and feather Brown with comparisons to Rush Limbaugh, Sarah Palin, George Bush and Tea Baggers. They are the worst “villains” the Left can conjure, and the ones the media have conditioned folks to hate. That’s par for the course in politics, and so far, it’s not working.

In a clear sign of just how desperate things have become, there is breaking news that Barack Obama, the campaigner-in-chief, will go to Massachusetts to help the Democrats save Ted Kennedy’s seat. Yes, my friends, the polls are indeed that close, and they are bringing out their biggest gun.

But will we start hearing false rumors and innuendoes of terrible charges against Brown in the closing hours of the campaign? How much fraud will take place? Will there be voter intimidation? During the 2008 primaries, there were widespread reports of buses pouring into New Hampshire from Massachusetts. Will the buses head to Massachusetts this time?

We shouldn’t have to worry about such things, but we’ve seen it before. Worse yet, the administration’s actions in dismissing the case against the New Black Panthers and its inaction against ACORN shows a blatant disregard for the law and a willingness to look the other way.

What’s the solution? They can’t steal an election if the result is overwhelming. Any Massachusetts voter – Democrat, Republican or Independent – worried about Obama’s socialism and the future of our nation should vote for Scott Brown."

Fat Union Cats have Obama in their Pocket

Hey, this is not the way a Communist Utopia is supposed to work. File under, "Some are just more equal than others." From Things Worth Reading:

UNIONS WILL DODGE OBAMA'S HEALTH TAX

By CARL CAMPANILE

Big Labor got some big love from President Obama and congressional Democrats yesterday after they agreed to exempt union workers from the whopping "Cadillac tax" on high-cost health-care plans until 2018. The sweetheart deal, hammered out behind closed doors, will save union employees at least $60 billion over the years involved, while others won't be as lucky -- they'll have to cough up almost $90 billion. The 40 percent excise tax on what have come to be called...

“The Islamic Infiltration, Part I: Inside Our Government, Armed With Our Secrets,” it reveals the degree to which Islamists have infiltrated such government agencies as the defense department and the FBI.

It’s going to take a loud, clear and organized voice from the grassroots to convince more government officials that this kind of politically-correct driven insanity cannot be tolerated any longer.

Obama's Double Standard for Religions

Gary Bauer, Campaign for Working Families, encourages Obama to apply the same standards to Islam that are applied to other religions.

“The Religion Of Peace”?

Speaking in Cairo, Egypt, on June 4, 2009, President Obama told a cheering audience that “Islam has a proud tradition of tolerance,” then went on to assure them that Muslims in the United States enjoy full religious liberty. Of course, the problem has never been the inability of Muslims to worship in America. The problem is the inability of Christians, Jews and persons of other faiths to worship freely in majority Muslim nations.

A cursory examination of recent news stories shows that in fact Islamic intolerance and violence toward other faiths is increasing, and the Obama Administration seems singularly uninterested.

  • In Malaysia this week, three churches and a Catholic school were firebombed by Muslims upset because Malaysian Christians had used the word “Allah” for God. The protesting Muslims contended that only Muslims could use the word “Allah.”

  • In Egypt, Coptic Christians celebrate Christmas on January 7th. This year’s celebration was marked by an attack on the Mar Yohana Church in which eight Christians, most of them in their 20s, were gunned down as they left services. A few months earlier, a Muslim mob burned and looted businesses owned by Christians in Farshoot, Egypt.

  • Christian churches have also been attacked by followers in of the “Religion of Peace” in Algeria and Indonesia in recent weeks. And in Pakistan, 65 Christian women and children were attacked by a Muslim mob.

There are dozens of American organizations that claim to speak for Islam and regularly assure us that they renounce violence. Yet I have been unable to find any statements by these groups condemning the violence by Muslims against religious minorities around the world. Perhaps President Obama could raise the issue at next year’s White House Ramadan dinner.

Quote of the Day

"If you need another reason to question the logic of the Left, global warming is good place to start. If the “warm-mongers” are to be believed, humanity is facing a catastrophic disaster of biblical proportions from rising sea levels and scorching heat. Their solution? As usual it’s more big government and “great big, regressive” energy taxes. (Those are Democrats’ words, not mine, describing their “cap and trade” scheme.)

While the liberal politicians have made up their minds, the science is far from settled. In fact, before you invest in Al Gore’s carbon credits, read this article. We may all be wishing for global warming in the years ahead. "

Unions Greed Threatens National Security

The National Right to Work Committee say that union bosses are exploiting the foiled Christmas Day terrorist attack by insisting on the forced unionization of all Transportation Security Administration (TSA) employees.

On Friday, National Right to Work president Mark Mix appeared on Glenn Beck’s show on Fox News to discuss the inherent danger of subjecting our national security interests to union monopoly control and the crippling work rules and bureaucracy it brings.

Watch the video by clicking below…

. . . and then contact your U.S. Senators immediately, and tell them to oppose President Obama’s nomination of Erroll Southers to the head to TSA until Obama publicly pledges to oppose any legislation or executive policy that would force all TSA employees under union boss control.
