2. harnessing the untapped potential of oil shale
3. encouraging development of electric cars and trucks
4. strengthening our ability to prevent speculators from driving up the price of oil

But they are opposing any form of increased domestic energy production and exploration that would create new American jobs and reduce our dependence on Middle Eastern oil.
