Dems Promise More, Bigger Government

And to think, once Democrats actually pretended to stand for freedom of speech. Now they are the un-freedom party and by all indications, Barack Obama will be happy to help silence any speech that doesn't toe the liberal line, according to GreenWatchAmerica.

It's very possible that liberals like B. Hussein Obama and Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi aren't just out to SILENCE RUSH... they may actually try to force conservatives off the Internet as well!

McDowell discussed this very real possibility at a recent conference of Internet bloggers at the Heritage Foundation and added:

"Then, whoever is in charge of government is going to determine what is fair, under a so-called 'Fairness Doctrine' .... So, will Web sites, will bloggers have to give equal time or equal space on their Web site..."

And just in case you're wondering WHO is behind this very real and tyrannical movement, McDowell adds:

"[T]he importance of this election is in part - has something to do with that. So you know, this election, if it goes one way, we could see a re-imposition of the Fairness Doctrine."

And just in case you're not convinced, Cliff Kincaid with Accuracy in Media reports on something you won't see on the front page of The New York Times this week. According to Kincaid, these plans are outlined in the Democratic Platform.

Kincaid quotes the Platform Directly:

"'We will encourage diversity in the ownership of broadcast media, promote the development of new media outlets for expression of diverse viewpoints, and clarify the public interest obligations of broadcasters who occupy the nation's spectrum,' the Democratic platform says."

Kincaid went on to say:

"While this may sound appealing, terms like 'diversity' and 'diverse viewpoints' are liberal code words for using the power of the federal government to muzzle conservative talk radio and turning over broadcast properties and airtime to 'progressives' This is the goal of George Soros-funded groups like the Free Press.... The Democratic platform, in short, calls for more and bigger government on the domestic and international levels. This is the real story that the mainstream media won't tell."
