"There is less than a week left before the 110th Congress adjourns and its Members return to their respective states and districts. While it may be nice to have our Senators and Representatives listen to "We the People," -- their constituents -- there are some Washington politicians working to pass big spending bills in the final hours of the legislative session.Fortunately, there are a handful of Senators who are looking out for us, the American taxpayer, by standing firm against more wasteful government spending.Senators Tom Coburn (R-OK) and Jim DeMint (R-SC) are watching every potential spending bill and pulling them off the Senate floor so they cannot pass at the 11th hour with little or no debate. Specifically, they are insisting on a full debate to ensure the big spenders in Washington are held accountable to American taxpayers.
Indeed, such fiscal responsibility in Washington, DC is a breath of fresh air! However, we need to do our part. We need to remind Senators Coburn and DeMint that the big spenders in Washington will do anything to spend more of the people's money. We need to remind them that there are some bills, like public land use bills, that may not look like they require taxpayer funding, but definitely do.TAKE ACTION TODAY! Send Senators Coburn and DeMint an e-mail thanking them for standing firm against government waste, and reminding them that some bills, which may not look like it at first blush, also cost taxpayers millions upon millions of dollars!"

Thank Senators Tom Coburn and Jim DeMint for fighting wasteful government spending!
Center for Individual Freedom President Jeffrey Mazzella, has a great idea -- to applaud the efforts of two hard working Senators who are trying to keep your tax dollars from going down the government rabbit hole.
