Haught latest book, “The POTUS Chronicles: Bubba Between the Bushes,” is an offshoot of the Washington news column which he wrote for 18 years, spanning the terms of three presidents. He is also the author of, “Now, I’m No Expert on Cats and Other Mysteries of Life.In addition to excerpts from his election-year book, Haught regaled his audience with lively commentary on the current crop of presidential candidates. His humor veers to gentle satire but “my writings are based on fact,” said Haught.
“My Washington experience convinced me that we truly live in a great country. The nation’s Capitol really is a symbol about what is good about America.”
