Quote of the Day

"The sanctity of life has been thrust onto center stage in recent weeks. First, came Barack Obama’s remark in Pastor Rick Warren’s church that the question of when human rights begin is “above my pay grade.” That stood in stark contrast to Senator McCain’s response that human rights begin, “At the moment of conception. …I will be a pro-life president and this presidency will have pro-life policies. That’s my commitment. That’s my commitment to you.”

Senator McCain backed up that commitment with the selection of pro-life heroine Governor Sarah Palin to be the Republican vice presidential nominee, who said of her son, Trig, born with Down syndrome, “We have faith that every baby is created for good purposes and has potential to make this world a better place.”

And most recently America is witnessing how the Palin family is handling the unintended pregnancy of 17-year-old Bristol Palin. My friends, this is the time for our movement to boldly stand up and make the case for the right to life. America is watching our reaction. Will we embrace Senator McCain’s pro-life record? Will we embrace Gov. Palin and her family’s embrace of the gift of life?

This is our moment. The next president could make as many as three appointments to the Supreme Court. Do you want someone who has opposed legislation to save babies born alive after botched abortions making those high court nominations? That’s Barack Obama.

Or would you rather have someone with a 25-year pro-life voting record making those nominations? That’s John McCain. One of these two men will be president next year. And the reality is we’ve got just over 60 days to make sure our pro-life, pro-family values prevail in this election."
