National Federation of Republican Women is Pleased to Announce That the Sentences of Ramos and Compean Have Been Commuted
NFRW is happy to announce that the two former Border Patrol Agents will be released from prison on March 20, 2009.
The agents were convicted of shooting Osvaldo Aldrete Davila, an admitted drug smuggler from Juárez, Mexico. According to court testimony Davila was running away from an abandoned van loaded with marijuana.
This announcement is a victory for those of us who saw this conviction as an unfair prosecution of these brave agents who were merely doing their job.
