President Biden has created crisis after crisis in America, including a massive budget deficit and an invasion at our Southern Border. My colleagues and I are prepared to do whatever it takes on behalf of the American people to restore fiscal stability and secure our Southern Border.
Thousands of illegal aliens are pouring across our Southern Border daily, with a monthly record 300,000 last month – not counting the "gotaways" that don't surrender to Border Patrol.The Mexican cartels are making billions trafficking women and children, and smuggling fentanyl and other dangerous contraband into our country.
Last week, I made my sixth trip to the Southern Border, this time visiting Eagle Pass, Texas, in the Del Rio sector. Biden's border invasion has gotten significantly worse since my last visit, and the flow was greater than I had ever seen before. Some 10 million illegal aliens have entered our country with the help of the Biden administration over the past 3 years.
The situation is so dire that the House is finally moving to formally impeach Homeland Security Secretary Mayorkas for his refusal to secure the border, and his willful facilitation of this dangerous invasion.
I will not vote to continue to fund this government without ending this invasion and securing our Southern Border.
