Hey Congress, Don't listen to Harry "Higher Gas Prices" Reid!

Drill Here and Drill Now!

Simply put, Reid is telling conservatives in Congress to give up on "drill here, drill now," agree to legislation that will increase your taxes and drive up your cost for gasoline at the pump or he'll make sure conservatives take the blame for shutting down the government.

According to The Hill, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid recently said; "We are not interested in any games being played. We simply want to make sure the government is allowed to function. There have been Republicans saying what they want to do is close down the government. I would hope that some of those people have read very recent history where Gingrich tried to do that and it didn't work out well for the Republicans...."

Making such a statement is the political equivalent of extortion, plain and simple, and the American people are the mark! What does the moratorium on drilling have to do with funding the United States government? The answer, of course, is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, and if some of you are thinking that the American people will turn against legislators who do not buckle under to Reid's implicit threat, let me disabuse you of that notion right here and right now and respectfully suggest that you think outside of the box.

"Drill Here and Drill Now" means just that! Prices at the pump are still too high and people are still struggling to make ends meet. The American people see through Reid's chicanery. He is the one playing "games." It is not appreciated and the American people are looking for real leaders to stand in opposition to this disgusting legislative sleight of hand!

Act Now!
Locate your Members of Congress and tell them that if liberals in the House and Senate attempt to hold domestic drilling hostage to a potential government shutdown, the American people still want you to stand firm! The American people do not want you to capitulate and support so-called "compromise" or "comprehensive" energy legislation that will raise taxes and increase prices at the pump.
