I am excited to announce that on December 11, I was elected by my colleagues to be the next Chairman of the House Freedom Caucus. I am honored to have been selected as the new leader of the most courageous conservative warriors in the House of Representatives.
The House Freedom Caucus's influence and importance has increased significantly this year because of the narrow House majority. We were able to elect the most conservative House Speaker in history in Rep. Mike Johnson (LA). Republicans must now keep our promises to the American people by reducing our spending and national debt, securing our borders, stopping a weaponized federal government, and defending our constitutional freedoms.
You didn't send me to Washington to serve the special interests and the lobbyists, or to join the uni-party swamp cartel. You sent me to challenge the status quo, and to fight for the change that is needed to save our country.
Here are a few of the issues I have been working on most recently:
✅ I introduced the "No Regulation Through Litigation Act" to fight sue-and-settle tactics used by corrupt government bureaucrats and their left-wing allies. No administration should be able to use the courts in order to advance their extreme agenda.
✅ I co-sponsored the "DETERRENT Act" to hold universities and foreign entities accountable. It is time the American people see who is buying access to our students.
✅ I supported our troops who were punished and discharged for putting their personal health and safety ahead of an experimental COVID vaccine. They must be unconditionally reinstated and restored with full pay and benefits.
✅ I passed an amendment to end vaccine mandates on college campuses, because nearly 100 colleges and universities still require students to be vaccinated to attend classes.
✅ I fought against building a new FBI building that would require borrowing and spending taxpayer money for a facility larger than the Pentagon.
✅ I sponsored the "No American Climate Corps Act" to prohibit federal funds for the American Climate Corps program and the Justice40 Initiative, both of which are part of the Biden administration's crazy climate agenda.
I expect 2024 will be our toughest election year yet. Establishment allies of ousted House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, including both RINOs and Democrats, who want to retaliate against me for fighting to change Washington are coming at me in full force. They will spend millions of DC and California dollars to try to ensure that 2024 is my last year in Congress. They are running a dishonest smear campaign. But you know the truth --- I am a consistently courageous conservative warrior, who has kept my promises, and done what I said I would do in Congress.
America is at a crossroads, teetering on the edge, and hanging by a thread. We are facing numerous existential threats including crushing debt, a border invasion, record inflation, climate extremism, a weakened military, and an abusive federal government that treats conservatives as domestic terrorists.
We have a small window of time to turn America back into the strong "Shining City on a Hill." If we keep fighting for our shared conservative values, we can win this together and America can be great again.
