"The grand opening of the CCAM research facility is great news both for the Commonwealth and for our nation as we strive to maintain our competitiveness in global manufacturing. Comprised of a partnership between top notch engineers at the University of Virginia, Virginia Tech, Virginia State University, and manufacturing companies around the world, this cutting-edge facility will put the Commonwealth of Virginia at the forefront of advanced manufacturing technology while creating more highly-skilled jobs in Central and Southside Virginia. I am pleased to join Governor McDonnell in congratulating CCAM, the University of Virginia, Virginia Tech, Virginia State University, and its member businesses on this new facility, and I remain committed to working in Washington to make it easier for our manufacturers in the 5th District and across the country to be able to innovate, hire, and expand."
