This week I voted on some extremely disappointing legislation. This week was dominated by a couple of big events: First, the passage of the biennial budget, which I went over in more detail last week, and the insistence that inflation is not that bad.
Democrats have done nothing to make life more affordable for everyday Virginians, and we let them know. On the floor multiple republicans on our side stood up and gave truthful and honest speeches about the hardships their constituents have gone through to battle inflation.
Democrats' answer? "Just buy store brand"
It was a slap in the face. This is the modern day "Let them eat cake". The NOVA Democrats have no idea how bad it is for real people. I couldn't have been more angry at their response.
