Tom Pyle, American Energy Alliance: You can see the future

There's no need for a crystal ball.

To see America's future if the Biden Administration gets its way, we can look at Norway. (Yes, Norway!)

Norway's experience with electric vehicles (EVs) reveals the reality behind the vision of the "green" left in the United States.

As you'll remember, the Biden Administration and the "green" left say they want to force American families to drive only EVs so that carbon dioxide emissions and the use of gasoline and oil are reduced.

But in Norway, a country that spends billions in annually recurring subsidies for EVs and today has EVs making up 64% of new car sales:

  • EV owners need to get 45 years of use out of the vehicle's imported EV battery -- which has an expected life of only 15 years -- to offset the global carbon dioxide emissions from producing it. (Spoiler: they don't.)

  • Two-thirds of Norway's EV households own at least one gas-powered vehicle … but, from 2010 to 2022, the number of gas-powered vehicles on the road in Norway still increased, as families don't want to stick only with EVs.

  • The Norwegian government has spent billions to promote EVs, yet their carbon emissions haven't decreased and neither has their use of gasoline.

And, in an unsurprising twist for pro-American energy activists like you and me, in recent years Norwegians' ownership and use of gas-powered cars has actually increased, especially for long trips where EVs have a range problem.

It seems that Norwegians use their EVs when they want to avoid a road or ferry toll, when they want to have access to free parking or charging, or when they want to avoid congestion by using bus lanes.

Otherwise, they use their reliable, cost-effective, and consumer-preferred gas-powered cars, trucks, and SUVs.

The bottom line of Norway's example is that Norway did not reduce oil use from selling more EVs – so its EV movement has not reduced carbon emissions.

Instead, the relentless movement towards EV usage in Norway has resulted in billions of new costs with no benefits … exactly what we're seeing President Biden do with the energy transition in the United States.

Thank you for helping the American Energy Alliance continue to expose and counter the "green" left's anti-car myths, starting with the benefits they claim we'll see from the Biden Administration's War on Cars, Trucks, and SUVs.

We'll continue to lead the fight alongside the Save Our Cars Coalition to end the Biden Administration's War on Cars, Trucks, and SUVs, so our future can remain bright.
