Upward News: The 2020 election was officially declared ‘illegal’

ELECTION INTEGRITY

Recent court rulings in two key swing states have deemed last-minute election reforms during the 2020 election "illegal."

For Wisconsin, it was the drop boxes. The Wisconsin Supreme Court recently ruled that the state's promotion of unmanned absentee ballot drop boxes during 2020's COVID lockdown measures was illegal. Democrats argued that such last-minute reforms were legal because there are no outright bans on them. The court ultimately decided they must be removed going forward.

For Pennsylvania, it was mail-in voting. The Pennsylvania Supreme Court upheld historic state election law and declared that the Democratic Party of Pennsylvania's last-minute changes to the state's election code were illegal. The court struck down the Democrats' expansion of unmanned mail-in ballot drop boxes, noting that "Pennsylvania's constitution would have to be changed to allow mail-in voting."

Plus, Delaware's mail-in voting law violated the state's constitution and cannot be utilized for the upcoming November elections, per a new ruling by a Delaware judge.

Illegal money was used to fund many of these illegal voting changes. The courts note that many of the reforms were funded by illegal means–including $100 million from nonprofits tied to Mark Zuckerberg. The Thomas More Society notes that the mayors of Wisconsin's five largest cities signed a $216,500 "illegal agreement" with nonprofits to "purchase and use the illegal drop boxes."
