VEOA: Upcoming Education Events

Education remains at the top of everyone's mind these days. No wonder, we continuously get reminders that our public education system in Virginia has been failing our children and teachers for years. From learning that Viriginia students have seen tremendous learning loss to the realization that some school boards have been keeping important information about students from their parents.

At the Virginia Education Opportunity Alliance, we are focused on protecting the rights of parents and students as clearly defined in the Virginia Constitution. Furthermore, we are working to ensure all students, no matter their zip code, have access to a quality education.

We can't do this alone. We need your help. We are hosting several informative events in the next few weeks to give you the power to become part of the solution.

VEOA Coalition Zoom Call w/ Secretary of Education (Invited), Dr. Aimee Guidera. Join us November 3rd at 12 noon to hear Dr. Guidera explain the recent National Assessment Educational Progress (NAEP) scores and how the Youngkin administration plans to address the challenges that lie ahead. Register here.

VEOA Grassroots Training - Northern Virginia November 12th at 9:30am -2:30pm in Sterling Virginia, in partnership with Americans for Prosperity, we are hosting grassroots training. This training will teach the skills you need to become an effective influencer in your community and create a ground swell of support for innovative policies that will change lives. There is no cost for this training and lunch will be provided. Register here.

VEOA Education Freedom Rally w/ LG Winsome Sears - Colonial Heights November 17th at 5pm, feel the energy for change at our second Education Freedom rally with Lieutenant Governor Winsome Earle-Sears. This rally will be held at The Vault at Pickwick in Colonial Heights. Register here.

I'll leave you with this. Winston Churchill once quipped, "My education was interrupted only by my schooling." We don't want that to be our legacy in Virginia.

We hope to see you soon,

Craig DiSesa
