Congressman Good Update:
Honoring Our Veterans
This week I hosted my fifth Vietnam Veterans Pinning Ceremony, recognizing 14 more veterans and their families in Campbell County. These ceremonies serve as a heartfelt reminder of the bravery these men and women displayed in serving the United States. Our veterans' patriotism and dedication to the greatest country in the world are deeply inspiring.
I am proud to partner with the Vietnam War Commemoration to honor our Vietnam-era Veterans throughout Virginia's 5th District. To date, we have honored over 150 veterans with a pin and certificate of recognition for their service to our great nation. My team will be organizing more of these pinning ceremonies across the 5th District. You can find more information about the program, along with how you or someone you know can submit an application to be honored at a future event, by visiting good.house.gov/services/honoring-vietnam-veterans.
I also had the distinct honor of presenting Mary Anne Wilmouth the medals earned by her late father, World War II veteran Gerald T. Ryan. We presented her the Purple Heart, Bronze Star, WWII Victory Medal, Good Conduct Medal, European African Middle Eastern Ribbon, Combat Infantry Badge, Rifleman's Badge, and Honorable Service Lapel Button; all of which her father earned in courageous service to his nation.
My office can help recover military services medals that veterans never received, or those that were lost. Please contact our office for help if you or a loved one have not received any earned service decoration.
