Under President Biden and Homeland Security Secretary Mayorkas, more than 9 million people have illegally crossed into our country through the southern border and have been released into our country with no accountability, making our communities more dangerous.
We saw the deadly result of these policy choices when an illegal immigrant allegedly murdered Laken Riley, a 22-year-old nursing student in Georgia. Laken Riley's death was avoidable. President Biden and Secretary Mayorkas' catch-and-release policies and inaction to address the border crisis have made communities less safe. This should not have been the outcome of a young girl going out on her daily run.
