This past year Republicans have made strides in restoring common sense law and order in the Commonwealth. We at the Republican Party of Virginia want to highlight the fantastic work our Delegates and Senators in the General Assembly were able to accomplish this past session.  Today we highlight Senator Bryce Reeves. Senator Reeves has always fought to ease the burden on the Veterans that call Virginia home. During the 2022 legislative session, Senator Reeves carried SB 528 which amends the tax code to provide for a subtraction of income tax for our military retirees. Through 2024, Military retirees in the Commonwealth could be eligible for up to a $20,000 subtraction from their income tax.  For years many veterans have decided to move away from the Commonwealth upon retirement because of the undue tax burden on their retirement. Senator Reeves carried the flag to create an environment and home so that our veterans could stay in Virginia.  Thank you to Senator Reeves on behalf of the Republican Party of Virginia for putting our Veterans first!
