By now, most Americans have heard about the brutal murder of Laken Riley, a young Christian nursing student in Georgia, at the hands of a criminal illegal alien thug from Venezuela.
In the State of the Union address, Joe Biden tried to mention the young woman but didn't pay enough attention to even get her name right. Her parents were furious.
Incredibly, Biden offered no apology for his open borders immigration policies that let this monster into our country, along with his criminal brothers, and resulted in Laken Riley's murder.
But now he has finally apologized. Not to brutally murdered Laken or her grieving parents, but to the murderer and others like him who have entered our country illegally. Yes, that's right – Biden apologized for calling the murderer an "illegal" migrant.
But that's not all. Biden added, "I'm not going to treat any of these people with disrespect. Look, they built the country, [they are] the reason our economy is growing."
Joe Biden has more respect for the dignity of illegal aliens crossing our border than he does for the victims of criminal illegal aliens. Where was Laken Riley's dignity when her skull was being crushed?
On Saturday, Donald Trump met privately with the Riley family before a rally in Georgia. There are unconfirmed reports that Trump cried when they talked about their daughter. Her father donned a "Make America Great Again" hat.
When he addressed the crowd, Trump called the murderer an "illegal alien criminal," an "illegal alien," an "illegal immigrant," and an "illegal migrant" who never should have been in our country. The crowd of thousands leapt to their feet in applause.
Georgia Sen. Raphael Warnock (D) was on CNN yesterday. When pressed about the policy failures that led to Laken Riley's murder, Warnock went on the attack. He accused Republicans of "trying to score cheap political points" over Riley's death and engaging in "craven politics."
Of course, the left would never do anything like that. The left would never exploit a tragic confrontation between a drug addict and policeman to slander law enforcement as "systemically racist," defund police departments, and push race-baiting programs into corporations and schools all over the country.
The Left's Radical Agenda
What happened in Georgia is symbolic of the left's secular globalist agenda. This illegal alien met someone the left would label as a "Christian nationalist." We know Laken Riley loved Jesus, and her family loves America.
The open borders policies of this administration brought this young woman into the presence of this thug, who sees borders as mere inconveniences he is free to violate whenever he wants. That resulted in the brutal murder of an American citizen, and the president apologized to the murderer.
What in the world would cause Joe Biden to apologize for calling the murderer "illegal"? It's the globalist socialist left that controls the progressive movement.
It's absolutely vital that you, your friends, and family members understand this. The secular globalist left wants open borders. Laken Riley wasn't the first American citizen to be killed by an illegal alien, and she won't be the last. But the left doesn't care about you and your family.
These are the same people running around supporting Hamas and tearing down posters of Israeli hostages. These are the same people who cheered every time Colin Kaepernick took a knee during the national anthem. These are the same people tearing down statues of our nation's heroes.
This is what the secular globalist neo-Marxist left is all about.
Not Impressed
The "mainstream media" went gaga for Joe Biden's State of the Union address. They thought the anger and the screaming showed he still had "some fight" left in him. But polling suggests most Americans weren't very impressed.
One "snap poll" conducted immediately after Biden's address claimed that 65% of those who watched it had a positive reaction. That may sound impressive, but it really isn't. Why not? Because State of the Union addresses historically have very partisan audiences that tune in to watch a president they already like.
Moreover, the Washington Post notes that Biden's 65% rating "was actually lower than any such speech CNN has polled in the past quarter-century." And while 35% viewed the speech "very positively," that figure "tied with Biden's speech last year (34 percent) for the lowest [very positive reaction] on record."
Meanwhile, an ABC News poll found that Biden got no "bounce" from his big address to the nation – 33% of Americans had a positive view of Biden before the State of the Union speech, and 33% had a positive view of Biden after the speech.
The only measurable change was that his negative rating went up from 50% pre-speech to 54% post-speech.
Among self-described "independents," only 25% said Biden performed better than they expected, while 36% said he did worse or the same as they expected.
This is a perfect illustration of how elite opinion in the DC Swamp and the media echo chamber is completely disconnected from the rest of the country.
