We knew California's EV mandate was bad policy. But now, my legal team has reviewed their latest decrees in depth and concluded that these new mandates are non-binding.   That's right: Virginia is not bound by California's wildly untenable laws that violate basic individual freedom and free markets.

DONATE NOW California does not control which cars Virginians buy and any thought that automobile manufacturers should face millions of dollars in civil penalties rather than allowing our  citizens to choose their own vehicles is completely absurd.   These mandates are unworkable, out of touch with reality, and — thanks to our legal team at the AG's office — irrelevant to Virginians.   This is why states have attorneys general.
