Governor Glenn Youngkin and First Lady Suzanne S. Youngkin Donate Second Quarter Salary to Support Early Education

The Governor's salary donation will support tuition for students and the creation of a new library

"Schools like the New E3 School and their innovative curriculum are making a huge difference," Youngkin told a small crowd gathered at the school. It is a difference that Virginia's First Lady Suzanne Youngkin said is critical. "Over half of our Virginia students in K through second grade are at moderate to high risk for reading difficulties," Mrs. Youngkin said.


Lisa Robertson, wife of Tim Robertson and daughter-in-law of CBN founder Pat Robertson, dedicated her life to making a difference and helped create a school working to improve those numbers."

Governor Glenn Youngkin made a stop in Norfolk to donate his second-quarter salary to the New E-3 School. His second-quarter salary amounted to $43,750. The money will go towards the preschool's students and scholarship programs. "I've said many, many times - it all starts with parents," said Youngkin. "When we have great teachers and we have a whole community engaged - we can change the future of our kids and that is exactly what's happening here and across the Commonwealth."
