Jon Myers for Congress: Evacuating Afghanistan: Sharing my story

It has been nearly three years since the Biden administration's disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan that resulted in the deaths of 11 Marines, a Sailor, and a Soldier.

At that time, more effort was put in by veterans coordinating with assets on the ground than the senior officials within the Biden administration and State Department.

While bureaucrats were sitting on their hands playing politics, I and other veterans were doing everything we could to rescue our fellow Americans and Afghan allies.

LISTEN TO MY STORY:

I'm not sharing this because I seek gratification or a pat on the back—what I did had to be done.

I wanted to tell my story because this example of gross negligence is what happens when you continue to elect self-absorbed politicians who care about making Congress a career rather than doing what is right for the American people.

In Congress, you can count on me to look after the people of VA-07, just like I did for all those American and Afghan families while the Biden administration looked the other way.

It's time to take our country back. I hope you consider voting for me between now and June 18.
